Differing Audiences – A Battle of the Sexes

I go to a monthly event in NYC where once a year they have an all-female lineup and open mic. Something very interesting happens on that particular night – the crowd changes. Some of the regulars are still there, but for the most part the males are absent as the female artists end up having to bring their own crowd with them. They usually do a good job of packing the place, but the problem is glaring – men, and male artists, stay at home, or go elsewhere, when women are performing.

It is the holiday season in a time when we see millions of families that have been hit hard by the economy. The Co-founder of the (SIS)TEM, DVS1 has started a new foundation called Respect Due Movement, and we will be giving back to the community that has given so much to us. We are looking for families with children 17 and under, that have been hit hard by the economy and are in need of help. We cannot help everyone, therefore we need to know your personal story in order to determine who can be helped.
For those of you, that can find it in your heart this Holiday season to donate to a family please contact us so that we can give you the drop off dates and events.
